Intravenous (IV) fluids are sterile fluids that are delivered directly into a pet’s veins. IV fluids like Hartmann’s solution and sodium chloride are commonly used in pets. IV fluids are used for many purposes (e.g. maintaining blood pressure during anaesthesia, treating severe dehydration)
