Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions

Feline odontoclastic resorptive lesions, often shortened to FORLs or resorptive lesions occur commonly in cats when odontoclast cells become overactive and break down the tooth, forming holes and causing the tooth to be misshapen and gradually disappear. The cause of FORLs is currently undetermined but it’s thought to be due to a combination of things including viruses, stress, and allergies.
