Hyperthyroidism
Hyperthyroidism refers to abnormally high thyroid hormone levels. Hyperthyroidism mostly affects cats, and is often caused by thyroid gland tumours. Signs of hyperthyroidism include hyperactivity and weight loss (despite a good appetite).
